Film with live orchestra (Modern times Chaplin), dance, theater and extraordinary installations will rub shoulders with pianists as brilliant and diverse as Roger Muraro (Debussy's Préludes), John Medeski and Frederic Rzewski. The Prazǎḱ quartet, Michel Portal, the Doulce Mémoire ensemble and Eugénie Rebetez are just a few of the many artists on the program.
Already a cross-border event, the festival is strengthening its intercantonal policy with Bal(l)adea joint project with the Chasseral Regional Park, combining music and heritage discovery.
The 2013 edition offers "workshops" for children, raising their awareness of music, performance and its technical and organizational corollaries. In the same spirit, a "springboard", designed to give greater visibility to talented young soloists, has been under development for several months with leading performers, and will culminate during the Festival.
The concerts, in an hour-long format with no intermission and unbeatable prices, encourage the public's spirit of curiosity and discovery.
