To mark the 250th anniversary of Beethoven's birth, Swiss Music Review took a weekly look at a different work from his catalog. <\/strong><\/p>\n Starting on January 3, 2020, every Friday we published a short, simple text on a work by Beethoven, in French and German. We chose well-known pieces, others less so, others even marginal. Some were linked to a particular time of year, others had a Swiss connection.<\/p>\n A selection of them was also printed in our December 2020 issue.<\/p>\n Our author, Michael Kube, is a musicologist and editor who teaches at the Stuttgart HEM and the University of W\u00fcrzburg.
