With Lionel Cottet and Jorge Viladoms, the 2019 Week-End Musical kicks off with a journey between Latin America and the European repertoire. On Saturday evening, it's violinist Gilles Apap's turn to take the audience beyond the barriers between styles. As Sunday is traditionally open to (very) young audiences, Benjamin Cuche and the percussion ensemble Acousticks will be presenting Back to measurement<\/em>a musical show for children aged 5 and over, teens and adults.<\/p>\n

In the afternoon, audiences will have the opportunity to see three classical festivals from French-speaking Switzerland share the stage. The directors of the Festival du Jura, Festival Horizon (NE) and Week-End Musical de Pully will perform the premiere of La Revue de cuisine<\/em>with actor Rapha\u00ebl Michoud.<\/p>\n

At the end of the day, mezzo-soprano Marina Viotti takes the audience on a journey through time and styles, on the theme of melancholy. John Dowland's arias, revisited with modern instrumentation, will rub shoulders with Metallica or Lana del Rey, in a \"Renaissance\" version of voice and lute.<\/p>\n

Finally, the Week-End Musical de Pully concludes with a recital by pianist Beatrice Berrut. This Valais-born all-rounder (conducting, arrangements) with a passion for the mountains tackles three Romantic summits: Wagner, Mahler and Liszt. She will also be giving the traditional Masterclass on Saturday.<\/p>\n

From May 3 to 5, the seventh edition of Pully's Week-End Musical is set to attract over 3,000 music lovers.
