At the age of 18, he was hired as stage manager for the Op\u00e9ra national de Lyon choir. In 1997, he joined the OSR and, at 28, became one of the youngest directors of a symphony orchestra. He left this position in 2012 to join Pedro Kranz as a partner in the concert and performance agency Caecilia. During the 2015 and 2016 seasons, he is also Artistic Director ad interim of the Orchestre National de France.<\/p>\n<p>According to Olivier Hari, Chairman of the Orchestra's Board of Trustees, he is now back at the OSR, where he has left many fond memories and forged excellent relationships. He takes over the seat occupied until now by Magali Rousseau, who left of her own free will according to the official version, but whose personality was apparently not unanimously appreciated by the orchestra's musicians.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p><strong>The Board of Trustees of the Orchestre de la Suisse Romande has appointed Steve Roger to the position of General Manager. He takes up the position on October 1, 2019.
