Photo: DR<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<div class='text-section'>\n<p>It's often said that cycles punctuate everyone's life: five years was the Geneva Brass Festival's first cycle. It allowed the Festival to grow, mature, discover and be discovered. <br \/> For its sixth edition, the festival is thinking big by inviting the Berlin Philharmonic Brass Ensemble, from the prestigious Berlin Philharmonic, to the closing concert on October 18.<\/p>\n<p>Saturday October 17 sees a very special concert: the Brass Odyssey, where the brass of the Big Band de Suisse romande, a leading jazz specialist, meets the Geneva Brass Quintet, a regular at this festival, with a creation by Geneva composer and drummer Arthur Hnatek.<\/p>\n<p>The Sunday morning family concert will traditionally take place in the Conservatoire's Grande Salle. The little ones will be able to discover and learn about this family of instruments.
