The contract comes into force on September 1, 2013. Authors and publishers represented by Suisa will now receive remuneration (royalties) for the use of their works on YouTube.<\/p>\n<p>At the same time, the agreement licenses the repertoire of Swiss authors and SUISA members for use on YouTube in a large number of countries outside Switzerland. This enables Swiss composers and lyricists to obtain remuneration for the use of their works on YouTube abroad, and thus increase their profile on this major online platform.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to the contract with Suisa, YouTube has signed agreements with over 40 other management societies worldwide.
