Sometimes things go really well during the music lesson: the pupil has understood the exercise, grasped the fingering. But as soon as they get home, they're missing precise observations and good playbacks. \"We noticed that something was missing,\" says Daniel Brand of the Lyss music school. Together with a small multi-skilled team, he developed the trivs software on his own initiative. Now, teachers can send students prepared exercises and accompaniment versions recorded during class. Trivs also includes a practical metronome, audio player and calendar. In this way, the application accompanies the exercises and helps to integrate them naturally into everyday life. Daniel Brand sees himself as a coach: he is in constant exchange with his students, asking them what instructions they need at home. \"It's important that they know what they're going to repeat at home.\" In addition to students and teachers, trivs is also very well received by parents. They can better support their children in their work, as trivs enables them to listen to the exercises in real life.<\/p>\n

The target audience for the trivs application is teachers. Currently, music teachers from some 15 communities in the cantons of Berne and Lucerne are participating in the project. Daniel Brand: \"We see the Jubilee Prize as official recognition. It supports us in improving the product and motivates us a lot!\"<\/p>\n

What happens between music lessons? Trivs helps students with exercises, practice and learning at home.
