The castles belonging to the Swiss Castles Association are among Switzerland's top places of discovery. Castles are not only museums, but also musical venues. Depending on the season and the castle, there are serenades and concerts in the parks, castle courtyards, festival halls and castle chapels.<\/p>\n

This year, Ch\u00e2teaux Day is all about music. Each castle has its own program to suit the local and historical atmosphere. You'll hear medieval troubadours, lute playing and court music. Special instruments such as Jew's harps, bagpipes, a glass xylophone, fanfares, a dulcimer and a pianola will sound. Baroque music, yodelling and Arabic music will make the castles resound in celebration. Those who prefer to be active can dance in several castles to a wide variety of musical styles: medieval, baroque, Charleston, Latin American. In one castle, you'll have a stage of your own, where you can make music with your own instrument.<\/p>\n

Music and festivities go hand in hand with culinary delights. Special activities are planned for children and families. You'll find all the information you need on the individual programs of the 27 castles at \u00a0www.leschateauxsuisses.ch<\/a><\/p>\n

Swiss Castle Day is organized by the Swiss Castles Association, which will celebrate its tenth anniversary in 2024.<\/p>\n

Castles and their individual programs are listed on the website\u00a0dieschweizerschloesser.ch\/en<\/a>. To take part, send an e-mail by September 22, 2024 to\u00a0contact@musikzeitung.ch<\/a>\u00a0or a postcard to Swiss Music Review, Dammstrasse 2, 6440 Brunnen, <\/em>indicating which ch\u00e2teau you would like to visit.
