K\u00f6nnen Sie Ihre Forschung kurz vorstellen?<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Severin Kolb: Mit meiner Dissertation habe ich mir das Ziel gesetzt, die Wagner-Rezeption des in der Schweiz geborenen Komponisten Joachim Raff (1822-1882) aufzuarbeiten. Um seiner Schrift Die Wagnerfrage (1854), die im Zentrum meines Buchs steht, gerecht zu werden, habe ich verschiedene Ans\u00e4tze kombiniert: Die Schwerpunkte auf der Erschliessung von Raffs Weimarer Lebenswelt sowie der \u00e4sthetischen und (geschichts-)philosophischen Hintergr\u00fcnde seiner Besch\u00e4ftigung mit Wagner habe ich dem Z\u00fcrcher Institut zu verdanken; die extensive Arbeit mit Quellen (Korrespondenz, Beitr\u00e4ge zum Musikschrifttum oder Exzerpte Raffs) und gewichtige digitale Anteile (Schriftenedition in TEI) erscheinen mir als Kolb'sche Ingredienz.<\/p>\n<p>Gr\u00e9gory Rauber: Where does Guido d'Arezzo's seventh syllable of the solfeggio - B - come from, added to the hexachord (Ut re mi fa sol la)? To answer this question, I investigated the first occurrences of B in Flanders at the end of the 16th century, right up to its definitive introduction in France a hundred years later. Initially focusing on the corpus of printed treatises and methods on music, the subject revealed its full potential through the study of often unpublished manuscript documents, enabling us to measure the scope of the concerns of their issuers, from scientific, pedagogical and religious spheres.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><em>Warum haben Sie sich f\u00fcr diesen Preis beworben?<\/em><\/p>\n<p>SK: Die Arbeit ging mit dem Aufbau des Joachim-Raff-Archivs in Lachen einher, den ich als wissenschaftlicher Leiter mit viel Leidenschaft vorantreibe. Die Gew\u00e4hrleistung von hoher Qualit\u00e4t erh\u00f6ht die Chancen, Mittel f\u00fcr weitere Projekte zu akquirieren - insbesondere wenn sie durch ein G\u00fcte-siegel wie den Martha-Walter-Preis validiert ist.<\/p>\n<p>GR: It was the encouragement of two musicology professors, who were present at my defense, that made me decide to submit an application. Almost simultaneously, without consulting each other, they sent me the call for applications for the Marta-Walter 2024 Prize!<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Wie haben Sie reagiert, als Sie von Ihrer Auszeichnung erfuhren? Was bedeutet eine solche Anerkennung?<\/p>\n<p>SK: Dass meine Arbeit einen solchen Zuspruch erf\u00e4hrt, gibt mir das Gef\u00fchl des Ankommens. Die Anerkennung st\u00e4rkt die \u00dcberzeugung, auf dem richtigen Weg zu sein.<\/p>\n<p>GR: It's the kind of news that acts as an optimism and confidence booster that's always very welcome! To have the value of this work recognized by the SSM is an immense honor that I wish to share with all the people who made it possible, in particular my thesis supervisor Prof. C. Frei and my family.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><em>Wie sehen Ihre derzeitigen und zuk\u00fcnftigen beruflichen Pl\u00e4ne aus?<\/em><\/p>\n<p>SK: Eine Teilzeitstelle im DFG-Langfristvorhaben \"Digitales Liszt Quellen- und Werkverzeichnis\" an der SLUB Dresden erm\u00f6glicht es mir, meine digitalen F\u00e4higkeiten gezielt auszubauen. Mein Ziel ist es, parallel dazu das Raff-Archiv \u00fcber weitere Projektarbeiten zu etablieren und letzten Endes zu institutionalisieren. Und dabei nicht nur nicht zu verhungern, sondern auch Zeit f\u00fcr die Kultivierung weiterer Forschungsgebiete zu finden. Die Quadratur des Kreises?<\/p>\n<p>GR: The projects are varied! I'm currently in charge of Open Research Data for the artistic fields of the HES-SO. At the same time, the UNIGE musicology unit has entrusted me with a teaching load for 2024-2025, and I'm trying to keep my activities as a chorister and mediator as varied as possible.
