L'opera \u00e8 un appuntamento fisso del Festival di Verbier dal 2009, con una o due rappresentazioni a stagione. La 21a edizione presenter\u00e0 cinque opere in versione concerto: <em>La dannazione di Faust<\/em> di Berlioz, <em>Fidelio<\/em> di Beethoven, <em>Il Tabarro<\/em> di Puccini, <em>Il re pastore <\/em>di Mozart e <em>L'elisir d'amore<\/em> di Donizetti.<\/p>\n<p>Anche la musica liederistica sar\u00e0 sotto i riflettori, con due cicli di Mahler eseguiti da Thomas Hampson. Anne Sofie von Otter, invece, presenter\u00e0 una serata dedicata alle canzoni e alle melodie francesi.<\/p>\n<p>Il pianoforte e la musica da camera sono tradizionalmente al centro del Festival di Verbier e la ventunesima edizione non far\u00e0 eccezione, con Martin Helmchen, Christian Zacharias e una serie di illustri rappresentanti della scuola russa, tra cui Grigory Sokolov, Evgeny Kissin, Kirill Gerstein, Mikhail Pletnev e Daniil Trifonov.<\/p>\n<p>Con l'obiettivo di offrire una piattaforma ai giovani talenti, il Festival di Verbier ospita quest'estate la finale del concorso pianistico internazionale Vendome Prize.<\/p>\n<p>Per quanto riguarda la musica da camera, il programma \u00e8 eclettico. Il violinista Daniel Hope torna al Festival di Verbier con due serate a tema: una dedicata a Brahms e ai suoi contemporanei, l'altra alla musica barocca.
