Foto: DR<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<div class='text-section'>\n<p>L'Accademia si terr\u00e0 per la prima volta nei locali della HEMU e dell'EJMA a Losanna dal 3 al 10 marzo 2017, e Imelda Gabs \u00e8 stata selezionata tra gli studenti della HEMU per partecipare alla Montreux Jazz Academy. Nata nel 1998, la giovane cantante, pianista e compositrice \u00e8 cresciuta sotto l'influenza artistica del padre, Doctor Gabs, pianista swing e boogie-woogie. La cantante ha fondato A Time To Remember, un'associazione a sostegno dei giovani artisti, per la quale ha vinto il Grand Prix Jeunesse de la Ville de Lausanne nel 2015. Oggi, accanto ai suoi studi, si esibisce da sola e in duo con il percussionista Clyde Philipp's. Si unisce ad altri nove virtuosi provenienti da tutto il mondo, tutti finalisti dei concorsi di Montreux Jazz (pianoforte, chitarra e voce) all'ultima edizione del Montreux Jazz Festival.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Con Patti Austin<br \/> <\/strong>Dopo la triste scomparsa di Al Jarreau, la cantante Patti Austin, grande amica del Festival, ha accettato di essere uno dei mentori della Montreux Jazz Academy 2017 insieme a Yaron Herman (direttore artistico dell'evento), Trilok Gurtu, Marcus Miller, Ziv Ravitz e Kurt Rosenwinkel.<\/p>\n<p>Laurence Desarzens, direttore dell'HEMU di Le Flon, \u00e8 lieta di ospitare la Montreux Jazz Academy insieme all'EJMA: \"\u00c8 una grande opportunit\u00e0 per i nostri studenti avere accesso ad artisti cos\u00ec importanti e alla loro fonte di conoscenza. Non vedo l'ora di assistere all'emulazione che l'Accademia creer\u00e0 nelle scuole e nel cuore di Le Flon\".<\/p>\n<p>La Montreux Jazz Academy offre eventi gratuiti ogni sera a partire dalle 17.00, oltre a un concerto di chiusura venerd\u00ec 10 marzo alle 20.30 presso la BCV Concert Hall.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p><strong>La cantante Imelda Gabs \u00e8 uno dei giovani talenti selezionati per la terza edizione della Montreux Jazz Academy.
