Seconda parte di un'opera che tratta anche la musica speculativa (la natura del suono, le proporzioni, gli intervalli e le scale), la fuga e gli stili di scrittura, questo studio completo del contrappunto rigoroso \u00e8 presentato sotto forma di piacevoli dialoghi in cui il maestro, Aloysius (Palestrina), incoraggia pedagogicamente il suo allievo, Josephus (Fux), a ragionare e ad acquisire esperienza e sicurezza. Metodico ma mai arido, di grande chiarezza, Fux si rif\u00e0 principalmente alla tradizione italiana dell'insegnamento del contrappunto, vicino in questo al Tractatus di Christoph Bernhard, che ha trasmesso l'insegnamento del suo maestro Sch\u00fctz. Tuttavia, sarebbe inappropriato classificare Fux come un reazionario nostalgico della Prima Prattica: le sue opere musicali prefigurano infatti il classicismo viennese. Il suo contrappunto, pi\u00f9 libero rispetto ad alcune regole melodiche, si allontana dallo stile rinascimentale e offre pi\u00f9 libert\u00e0 rispetto, ad esempio, ai rigidi trattati francesi del XX secolo. La traduzione \u00e8 piacevole e chiara, restituendo la familiarit\u00e0 voluta da Fux nella sua versione originale in latino. Alcuni termini sono stati modernizzati (blanches e rondes al posto di minimes e semi-br\u00e8ves, per esempio), cos\u00ec come le chiavi (che rimangono pi\u00f9 discutibili). Oltre al testo stesso, \u00e8 presente una traduzione della prefazione che Alfred Mann scrisse per il facsimile dell'originale latino pubblicato da B\u00e4renreiter nel 1967. Il libro \u00e8 accompagnato da un CD contenente gli esempi musicali, cantati da solisti con un vibrato purtroppo eccessivo.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"text-section\">\n<dl class=\"picture media
