Per gli studenti, in particolare, gli esercizi sono disponibili sul sito web delle Edizioni Belin. Per il musicista o l'amante della musica che non \u00e8 un appassionato di scienza pura, la lettura pu\u00f2 essere piuttosto ardua, poich\u00e9 questo non \u00e8 affatto un libro di divulgazione. Se non siete appassionati di equazioni, non disturbatevi!<\/p>\n<p>L'acustica degli strumenti musicali \u00e8 un campo particolarmente delicato, in cui interagiscono le leggi della meccanica dei fluidi e quelle della meccanica dei solidi. Numerosi parametri interferiscono nella produzione del suono, modificandone le propriet\u00e0 - anche, ad esempio, le condizioni di fissaggio della corda al ponte o la temperatura della colofonia. Le applicazioni concrete della nostra conoscenza sempre pi\u00f9 approfondita di questi meccanismi si trovano nella costruzione di strumenti, nella registrazione del suono e nel posizionamento degli strumenti sul palco. C'\u00e8 ancora molta ricerca da fare in questo campo, in particolare sulla correlazione tra l'esecuzione strumentale e la percezione uditiva.<\/p>\n<p>Il libro, che include le scoperte pi\u00f9 recenti (la meccanica non lineare per gli idiofoni, per esempio), \u00e8 diviso in quattro parti: la prima \u00e8 dedicata ai principi di base (vibrazioni di strutture solide, onde acustiche, meccanismi di eccitazione, oscillazioni libere e forzate, ecc.), la seconda ai modi di vibrazione e alle onde sonore, ai meccanismi di smorzamento (estinzione del suono dovuta alla dissipazione di energia nell'aria e negli strumenti) e all'acustica degli strumenti musicali stessi. La terza sezione esamina una delle caratteristiche particolarmente interessanti della maggior parte degli strumenti musicali: le oscillazioni non lineari, che sono essenziali per la produzione del suono negli archi e negli strumenti a fiato. Infine, l'ultima sezione esamina la radiazione del suono e i modi migliori per favorirla senza danneggiare le caratteristiche e il timbro dello strumento.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div
