Biblioteca nazionale svizzera, wikimedia commons<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<div class=\"text-section\">\n<p>Dagli anni Sessanta del Novecento, innumerevoli opere, lieder, musiche di scena e brani strumentali hanno fatto riferimento alle Alpi e alla Svizzera in particolare, anche se oggi questo repertorio musicale \u00e8 in gran parte dimenticato. Sebbene l'attuale territorio svizzero sia stato definito dal Trattato di Vienna nel 1815, questa celebrazione della svizzerit\u00e0 \u00e8 iniziata molto prima. Ma come spiegare il fascino che esercita sul pubblico dei Paesi vicini la musica ispirata alla Svizzera? Come si spiega il fatto che la Svizzera abbia ispirato cos\u00ec tanti compositori? Questa ispirazione si manifesta allo stesso modo nei compositori stranieri e in quelli svizzeri?<\/p>\n<p>La regione alpina \u00e8 il punto di partenza di questa analisi. Ispirati dagli scritti di Jean-Jacques Rousseau e poi di Lord Byron, pittori e compositori hanno celebrato la vita semplice e rustica delle valli alpine, mentre allo stesso tempo l'industrializzazione ha contribuito a standardizzare i prodotti e a concentrare le popolazioni nei centri urbani. L'autore, che ha scritto questo libro come tesi di abilitazione, basa la sua analisi su circa 250 opere musicali scritte tra il 1750 e il 1919 che fanno riferimento alla Svizzera e che ha elencato. Il suo approccio spaziale si riflette anche nella metodologia, in quanto nella prima parte del libro l'autore parte dal \"piano delle vacche\", studiando le interazioni tra attivit\u00e0 agricole, paesaggio e societ\u00e0 per spiegare il fascino esercitato dalla musica associata alla Svizzera per eccellenza: il canto del ranz des vaches e il suono dell'alphorn. Nella seconda parte, la spazialit\u00e0 \u00e8 pi\u00f9 metaforica: si riferisce all'eco prodotta dalla musica svizzera (o dalla musica associata alla Svizzera), in forma sublimata o trascesa, nella mente dei compositori romantici.<\/p>\n<p>La Svizzera e gli svizzeri sono poco informati sul loro passato musicale e la storiografia musicale svizzera \u00e8 in ritardo. Non sorprende quindi che facciano fatica a riconoscere il loro contributo alla tradizione musicale europea. Questo studio apre gli occhi. Sotto la penna esperta e sapiente di Mathieu Schneider, scopriamo che l'idea stessa di Romanticismo ha avuto origine nel nostro Paese. Attraverso questo approccio interdisciplinare e un sottile gioco di specchi, la Swissness dispiega le sue molteplici sfaccettature musicali, fatte di tradizioni autoctone, trasposizioni e proiezioni esterne.<\/p>\n<p>Questo libro, che vuole essere un'opera di consultazione, si rivolge non solo ai musicologi ma anche a chiunque sia interessato alla storia della Svizzera, svelando un settore finora largamente ignorato e mettendo in luce il ruolo della musica nella formazione dell'identit\u00e0 del Paese. Inoltre, le numerose opere musicali citate o menzionate saranno una preziosa fonte di ispirazione per gli interpreti che desiderano arricchire il proprio repertorio concertistico.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div
