Allen Fund 1930.579<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<div class=\"text-section\">\n<p>Tra le tante sfaccettature del genio di Leonardo da Vinci, le sue capacit\u00e0 musicali e sceniche sono troppo spesso trascurate. Questo libro, pubblicato dalle Editions du Cerf e scritto da Olivier Lexa, grande conoscitore della musica italiana e della storia dell'opera, colma perfettamente questa lacuna. Questo polimeta universale non solo invent\u00f2 diversi strumenti e fece studi approfonditi sull'acustica e sul meccanismo della voce e della sua proiezione, ma era anche rinomato ai suoi tempi come uno dei migliori suonatori di lira da braccio, con la quale improvvisava mentre cantava. Organizzatore di spettacoli sontuosi, ide\u00f2 automi e macchine che consentivano di trasformare la scenografia a vista, ricre\u00f2 il sipario e l'intelaiatura del palcoscenico ispirandosi al teatro dell'antichit\u00e0 e progett\u00f2 una scenografia innovativa in linea con la sua visione dinamica in cui tutto nasceva dal movimento, principio di ogni vita. Poemi drammatici di argomento profano, con monodia accompagnata, coro, orchestra, espressione fisica, costumi, scene, macchine e luci, le quattro opere liriche di Leonardo, comprese le ultime due, possono essere considerate vere e proprie opere, <em>Danae<\/em> e il <em>Fabula di Orfeo,<\/em> liberarsi dal contesto della rappresentazione del potere. Nonostante le fonti fornite dai libretti, dai disegni preparatori e dalle testimonianze d'epoca, l'assenza di una partitura e l'ancora troppo marcato disinteresse per la produzione teatrale del Quattrocento hanno messo in ombra questa importante pietra miliare, lasciando come proto-opera solo le creazioni della Camerata fiorentina, un secolo dopo.
