Foto : <a href=\"http:\/\/www.frankmartin.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">frankmartin.org<\/a><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<div class=\"text-section\">\n<p>Conciso ma ricco, il libro di Alain Corbellari, pubblicato nella raccolta in brossura <em>Savoir Suisse<\/em>pubblicato dalle Presses polytechniques et universitaires romandes, presenta un'immagine di Frank Martin lontana dai clich\u00e9 che troppo spesso lo dipingono come un austero calvinista. In 14 capitoli, scopriamo le diverse sfaccettature di una personalit\u00e0 sensibile, piena di vita e di umorismo, combinando informazioni biografiche e alcuni aneddoti con una descrizione facilmente accessibile delle sue opere pi\u00f9 notevoli, raggruppate per tema, come l'influenza di varie musiche popolari, come il jazz o il flamenco, o il suo interesse per il Medioevo - che gli ha ispirato, tra l'altro, l'uso del bicinium omoritmico - e la sua letteratura, che \u00e8 stata spesso chiamata in causa per alcune delle sue composizioni. Un intero capitolo \u00e8 dedicato a <em>Otto preludi<\/em> per pianoforte, scritte per Dinu Lipatti, che mor\u00ec prima di poterle eseguire, e che racchiudono gli elementi principali del suo personalissimo e riconoscibile stile. Il musicologo, che \u00e8 anche compositore egli stesso, sottolinea anche la profonda umanit\u00e0 del linguaggio dell'autore della <em>Petite Symphonie concertante<\/em>che raggiunse la maturit\u00e0 solo intorno ai cinquant'anni. Egli caratterizza in modo perspicace la sua musica espressiva, appassionata e veemente, lirica nell'essenza e spesso drammatica, in cui una o pi\u00f9 voci sfuggono spesso dalla massa sonora e si confrontano con la collettivit\u00e0, nonch\u00e9 il suo senso del ritmo e della retorica, per non parlare del suo successo nel combinare il dodecafonismo non dogmatico con un'impressione di tonalit\u00e0 libera e fluidamente modulante, con armonie spesso basate su accordi perfetti usati in modo non funzionale. Piuttosto che diventare una sorta di figura ufficiale, Martin ebbe la prudente lungimiranza di trasferirsi in un luogo appartato, per raggiungere la tranquillit\u00e0 necessaria al suo
