Foto: Magali Dougados\/OSR<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>In un libro recentemente pubblicato dalle \u00c9ditions Slatkine, Andr\u00e9 Piguet, un appassionato di musica che ha ricoperto quasi tutte le cariche all'interno degli Amici dell'OSR e ha lavorato nel Consiglio di Fondazione e nel Comitato Artistico dell'Orchestre de la Suisse Romande, racconta la storia di questa istituzione. Senza scadere nell'agiografia, rende un discreto omaggio a coloro che con la loro azione e dedizione hanno contribuito a perpetuare quella che per molto tempo \u00e8 sembrata un'utopia: gli stessi musicisti dell'OSR, naturalmente, ma anche i direttori d'orchestra di ruolo, in particolare il tenace e instancabile fondatore Ernest Ansermet, le figure chiave dell'amministrazione, le associazioni di amici, il pubblico, la radio e altri partner. Piuttosto che raccontare una cronologia di concerti memorabili, l'autore ha scelto di svelare il volto nascosto della vita e della sopravvivenza dell'orchestra in una prospettiva storica, raccontando le numerose insidie che ha dovuto evitare, scoprendo le cause alla radice di tensioni, dilemmi e posizioni antagoniste, dimostrando l'unicit\u00e0 del contesto ginevrino e della Svizzera francese in ogni periodo, e dettagliando gli eventi che hanno permesso a questa vera e propria avventura collettiva di superare le tempeste e garantire un successo duraturo. La scrittura precisa e concisa rende la lettura piacevole - anche gli incessanti problemi di finanziamento non sono mai noiosi. I tentativi di fondare un ensemble sinfonico nella seconda met\u00e0 del XIX secolo non erano privi di problemi.<sup>e<\/sup> Il secolo fino agli sviluppi pi\u00f9 recenti, attraverso la crisi economica degli anni Trenta e la guerra, la difficile successione ad Ansermet e la scelta a volte corneliana di nuovi direttori artistici, i periodi di interrogazione e l'incendio della Victoria Hall, il percorso \u00e8 stato costellato di insidie e colpi di scena, ma anche di momenti pi\u00f9 felici, come l'entusiasmo generato dai concerti per il pubblico giovane.<img loading=\"lazy\"
