Wikimedia commons<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Troppo spesso la vita di Clara Schumann viene messa a confronto con quella di Robert, trascurando il fatto che quando Robert mor\u00ec, la vedova aveva quarant'anni di vita, pi\u00f9 della met\u00e0 della sua. Pianista leggendaria, insegnante rinomata e accorta organizzatrice di concerti, era anche una compositrice precoce la cui produzione fu prima rallentata dal matrimonio, poi completamente soffocata dalla morte dell'uomo che amava con devozione. Al contrario, sebbene la sua carriera di concertista, iniziata durante l'infanzia sotto la guida di un padre autoritario, sia stata relativamente eclissata durante i suoi anni matrimoniali di autosacrificio, torn\u00f2 a girare l'Europa non appena si liber\u00f2 dai suoi doveri domestici, La sua missione fu quella di servire e imporre le partiture di Robert, suonandole e diffondendole, anche attraverso la monumentale edizione delle sue opere complete, un apostolato favorito tra l'altro dalla fedele amicizia di Brahms (di cui fu interprete prediletta) e Joachim.<\/p>\n<p>Nella sua recente biografia di questa importante figura della musica tedesca, Brigitte Fran\u00e7ois-Sappey, specialista del periodo romantico, unisce l'erudizione a una narrazione efficace, rendendo la lettura affascinante. Quest'opera, nella vena di Debussy, dimostra i poteri di costruzione e di invenzione melodica del compositore. Alla fine, lasci\u00f2 incompiuta l'opera che aveva progettato di scrivere mezzo secolo prima della sua morte.
