Foto: DR<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Negli anni '60, gli Swingle Singers hanno diviso gli amanti della musica registrando <em>Jazz Sebastian Bach<\/em>. Molti di loro erano indignati. Come si pu\u00f2 'attaccare' Bach facendolo 'dondolare'? Era un periodo in cui le cantate eseguite da Karl Richter erano uno dei punti di riferimento. Nel 1970, Harnoncourt e Leonhardt diressero il primo volume di una serie di 60 dischi con l'integrale delle cantate. Una notizia bomba nel mondo discografico. Con le loro interpretazioni storicamente documentate, inizio di una lunga storia, non potevano che dare ragione agli Swingle Singers: era diventato ovvio che Bach doveva \"swingare\"!<\/p>\n<p>Clara Barry si cimenta in una scommessa ancora pi\u00f9 azzardata: rendere jazz le melodie di Bart\u00f3k. Come nel caso degli Swingle Singers, alcuni appassionati rimarranno scioccati. Ma noi siamo incantati! Ricordate l'amicizia del compositore con Benny Goodman...<\/p>\n<p>Primo flash: la voce. Basta non impantanarsi nelle abitudini. Clara Barry non canta in modo \"operistico\". Si noti che quando Bart\u00f3k girava per le campagne per registrare le melodie popolari che spesso ispiravano le sue opere, i cantanti che catturava non cantavano Pamina all'opera di Budapest. Clara Barry utilizza una proiezione vocale jazzistica, colorando le melodie in modo innovativo. Racconta una storia e ci prende per mano con grande sensibilit\u00e0.<\/p>\n<p>Secondo flash: l'armonia. Certo, Bart\u00f3k \u00e8 un maestro dell'armonia. Ma qui, se lo spirito rimane tale, il pianoforte di Emil Sp\u00e1nyi adorna le melodie di Bart\u00f3k con colori che ricordano Bill Evans o Keith Jarret. Il risultato \u00e8 travolgente! M\u00e1ty\u00e1s Szandai fa cantare i pizzicati del suo contrabbasso con un coinvolgimento poetico unico, e la tromba di Hector L\u00e9na-Schroll illumina uno dei brani di questo CD, un'apparizione unica e troppo breve! Un brano di Kod\u00e1ly e due pezzi popolari svedesi completano il programma.<\/p>\n<p>La tendenza al crossover, l'ibridazione di due generi musicali, non ha prodotto solo capolavori. Qui abbiamo un gioiello. Non stiamo sacrificando uno stile a scapito di un altro (Bart\u00f3k\/Jazz), ma stiamo cercando di fondere i generi per creare qualcosa di totalmente innovativo.
