Affrontando gli ostacoli con una volont\u00e0 incrollabile, questo vero e proprio mago stringeva la sua scrittura e usciva vittorioso da questa deliberata ascesi. Cercando la sua ispirazione nella fiaba, nei suoni e nelle atmosfere della Spagna o dell'Oriente, egli pastiches raffinati, ad esempio in <em>l'Enfant e i Sortilegi<\/em>Ha una rara capacit\u00e0 di stupire, come nell'abbondante <em>L'alba<\/em> del balletto <em>Daphnis e Chlo\u00e9<\/em>e di preoccuparsi, come <em>Le Gibet<\/em> tratto da <em>Gaspard de la Nuit<\/em>. In 34 capitoli concisi e di facile lettura, Karol Beffa racconta le varie sfaccettature della vita, del lavoro e della personalit\u00e0 molto discreta dell'uomo di cui quest'anno il mondo della musica celebra il 150\u00b0 compleanno.<sup>e<\/sup> anniversario della sua nascita. Aggiunge ricordi personali relativi alle opere, che descrive in modo breve e puntuale, mostrando come Ravel lo abbia influenzato come esecutore, compositore e trasmettitore di musica.
